The Fairy Queen | The Eco Cosplayer

The Fairy Realm is a place of wonder and magic, and we are very rarely gifted with a glimpse into its enchanting world. Yet, if you can keep your body as still as the night and quiet your heart, you might be fortunate enough to see The Fairy Queen and her glowing Sprites.

As the summer evening hours draw near and the world begins to settle, the Queen and her Sprites venture out from their hidden realm. With delicate grace and ethereal beauty, they dance and flit about, spreading their magic and filling the air with a sweet, warm glow. Their presence is a reminder of the magic that exists all around us, waiting to be discovered if only we take the time to look.

But beware, for if you interrupt their delicate dance with even the slightest peep, the Queen and her Sprites will disappear as quickly as they appeared, taking the sparkling enchantment of the deep summer’s eve with them. We must be as silent as the moon, quietly basking in the enchantment of their presence and allowing ourselves to be swept away by their magic.

As the Sprites dance and twirl, they sprinkle the Earth with their fairy dust, creating a world filled with wonder and delight. The land transforms into a place where the impossible becomes possible, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

They offer us a glimpse into a world filled with awe and fascination, reminding us to believe in the incredible and to hold onto our sense of wonder and amazement. So, the next time you find yourself in the quiet hours of summer, be still, be quiet, and be open to the magic that surrounds us.

Working with The Eco Cosplayer was absolute magic. The moment I saw her at our shoot, I was so inspired by her look and the Fairy Queen cosplay she’d created. She made those wings! She was also the most laid-back Fairy Queen that ever was and was down to shimmy into any spot that struck my fancy. She even let me stick her in a tree. The final images had a very Edmund Dulac feel to them and I can’t say that I’m sad about it (If you’ve never heard of him, click the link. His work is beautiful).
